Mad about Design at Expocasa

 

 

Hello design lovers! Yesterday Mad about Design visited Expocasa, the exhibition dedicated to the furniture which took place in Turin and now it has joined its 52nd edition .

This edition has reached the number of 45,000 visitors to witness the notoriety of the event and the importance of exhibitors .

In fact, in the three pavilions of Lingotto Fiere , where the event was dedicated, you could meet numerous international design brands , including Calligaris, Roche Bobois, Nature Design, Fatboy, Borbonese, Gufram, Opinion Ciatti...

Also interesting are two events in parallel, Expocasa Green and toBEeco respectively dedicated to garden design and sustainable design.

Questa edizione ha raggiunto il numero di 45.000 visitatori, a testimoniare la notorietá dell'evento e l'importanza degli espositori.

Cooking with Design: Snowball Shakers by Camago

Hi dear design lovers! Today the column Cooking with Design introduces another adorable

invention of Gama-Go: Snowball Shakers, salt and pepper shakers containing respectively inside a polar bear and a brown bear.

Polar Bear loves to be submerged by salt because it reminds him the snow while brown bear loves to camouflage with the pepper.

These two animals decore and bring fun on your table and help to put some spice not only on food but during all the lunchtime.

Cooking with Design: Manatea by Fred&Friends

Hello design lovers! The protagonist of the column Cooking with Design today is Manatea by Fred & Friends a tea and herbal teas infuser from the original form of manatee.
Don't you think he has a so cute muzzle, does he?
This cute gray manatee loves to have warm bath in cups and mugs and keeps us company during cold evenings on the couch watching television.
Manatea may contains inside his bumb flowers, leaves and dried fruit of teas and herbal teas in order to leave slowly the aroma.
Have a relaxing break with Manatea and a cup of hot tea!

Happy birthday Coconut Chair!

 

Hi my dear design lovers! Today post is a tribute to Coconut Chair created by the designer George Nelson for Vitra in the year 1955, which this year celebrate 60 years old.

 The designer George Nelson compared the armchair with a coconut cut into eight parts, though he reversed the colours: the outer shell of the Coconut Chair is white, while the one-piece cushion is covered with high-quality leather or fabric in a variety of colours.

Coconut Chair has a simple and ironic shape, typical of 50es design and its spacious shape creates an inviting and comfortable armchair that wrap the sitter.

Hello design lovers! This Saturday begins the 52th edition of Expocasa, the most important event of the Northwest in Italy dedicated to furnishings and ideas for living.
In Turin March 7 to 15, Expocasa offers a complete range of solutions for the furniture with a contemporary design classic craftsmanship.
In a space of over 38,000 square meters, you can find kitchens, bedrooms, living rooms, bathrooms and furnishings.
Alongside the exhibition, a program of appointments each day involving different participants.
Mad about Design will visit Expocasa course, so see you soon with a post entirely dedicated to the event, many images and important news!
