Hello Design lovers! Obviously in this period, a post dedicated to the Christmas tree could not miss, the decoration of excellence in almost all our houses at Christmas time.
I chose a very unusual tree, far from the traditional idea of the Christmas tree filled with ornaments.

Buongiorno Design lovers! Ovviamente in questo periodo non poteva mancare un post dedicato all'albero di Natale, la decorazione d'eccellenza in quasi tutte le nostre case nel periodo natalizio.

Ho scelto un abete decisamente insolito, lontano dalla tradizionale idea dell'albero di Natale colmo di addobbi.

L'albero di Natale di Bloomingville colpisce per la sua semplicitá lontana dal concetto di consumismo, esagerazione e superfluo.

Un'albero di Natale firmato Pantone

Hello design lovers! Only a few days missing to the 25th of December, and if you haven't prepared your Christmas tree yet, the main character of today's post is an excellent source of inspiration: the balls for the Christmas tree by Pantone.
  Personally I love the different number of items proposed by Pantone, already involved in this previous post you can see here.
  The Pantone glass balls are all of different colors, half white and half colored  for a contemporary design, elegant and minimalist Christmas tree

Cooking with Design: Emil di Birkmann

 Even today, the column dedicated to kitchen tools Cooking with Design propose you a Christmas themed gadget . As in recent years the cake design has become very fashionable, I thought to propose in this post Emil, the mold for cakes of Birkmann with which you can make a cake in the shape of three-dimensional snowman to make all ages children happy. When you bring to the table, the snowman Emil decorated by you, the eyes of all your guests will sparkle with wonder and the only problem will be to find a person who has the courage to cut the first slice!

 

Anche oggi la rubrica dedicata agli utensili da cucina Cooking with Design vi presenta un gadget a tema natalizio. Siccome negli ultimi anni il cake design è diventato molto di moda, ho pensato di proporre in questo post lo stampo per torte Emil di Birkmann con il quale é possibile fare un dolce tridimensionale a forma di pupazzo di neve per fare felici i bambini di tutte le etá.

Christmas Light di Villeroy & Boch

 
In order to create a magical Christmas atmosphere, the candle holders of the Christmas Light serie by Villeroy & Boch are perfect. Four candle holders that seem stolen directly from the home of Santa Claus: the Christmas tree on the snowball, the snowman on  the top of the hat, the little blond angel on the star and Santa Claus on the red hat with pom-pom.
Usually Mad about Design proposes you design objects with contempory lines but I could not resist to these decorations of Villeroy & Boch: the attention to details, colors and subjects evoke an ancient and fairytale Christmas. Ideal with an aroma of cinnamon, orange or vanilla candles  to wrap the environment in a warm and fragrant Christmas atmosphere. Which of the four candle holder is your favorite?

Per creare una magica atmosfera natalizia sono perfetti i portacandela della serie Christmas Light di Villeroy & Boch. Quattro portacandela che sembrano rubati direttamente dalla casa di Babbo Natale: l'abete di Natale sulla palla di neve, il pupazzo di neve sul cappello a cilindro, l'angioletto biondo sulla stella e babbo natale sul cappello rosso con pon-pon.

Solitamente Mad about Design presenta oggetti di design dalle linee piú contemporanee ma di fronte a queste decorazioni di Villeroy & Boch non ho potuto resistere: la cura dei particolari, i colori e i soggetti evocano un natale antico e fiabesco. Ideali con un lumino all'aroma di cannella, arancia o vaniglia per avvolgere l'ambiente in una calda e profumata atmosfera natalizia.

Le Palle di Natale di Elyron

 

"You decide, for me everything is fine", "I  don't deserve you", "I'll join you later", "I was in the shower" ... these are just some of the sentences written on the Christmas balls  designed by Elyron, a design workshop in the city of Turin. All we have used at least once one of these excuses and now these phrases have become of the original decorations and fun for a Christmas tree alternative and decidedly ironic.

The Christmas balls are in thick cardboard, printed in full color, drilled to hang on our tree and split into four tables of six subjects each.

When the period of festivities ends and our beloved tree must go back in the attic or basement, we can use the balls drawn from Elyron as coasters because it would be a shame to wait until next Christmas for reuse them.

"Decidi tu, per me va bene tutto", "Non è suonata la sveglia", "Non ti merito", "Vi raggiungo dopo", "Ero sotto la doccia"... queste sono solo alcune delle frasi scritte sopra le Palle di Natale disegnate da Elyron, laboratorio di design nella cittá di Torino.


Tutti abbiamo usato almeno una volta una di queste scuse ed ora queste frasi sono diventate delle decorazioni originali e divertenti per un albero di Natale alternativo e decisamente ironico. Le Palle di Natale sono in cartone spesso, stampate in quadricromia, fustellate e forate per poterle appendere al nostro albero e suddivise in quattro tavole da sei soggetti ciascuna. Quando il periodo delle festivitá finisce e il nostro amato albero deve ritornare in soffitta o in cantina, possiamo usare le Palle disegnate da Elyron come sottobicchieri perchè sarebbe un peccato aspettare il Natale successivo per poterle riutilizzare.
