Cooking with Design: Salam teapot by Guy Degrenne

Hello Design lover! To remind you that it is Friday, as always our section Cooking with Design. The protagonist of today is Salam, the teapot by Guy Degrenne, the French designer that I discovered during my visit to Milan Expo at the France stand .  Created in 1957, Salam has a timeless design thanks to its simple and modern lines.
The collection Salam, whom this teapot in porcelain is part, includes several accessories for a complete tea service. Salam is perfect for winter afternoons or evenings during it'is ideal for warming up and relaxing because it can retain heat for a longer time than normal teapots thanks to its specific features.Available in three colors, white, red and black with matt finish and in various sizes from 2 to 8 cups.I think I am going to heat water ... nice weekend my dear design lovers!

After the 20th edition of Maison&Object in Paris

Last week, one of the most prestigious appointment in the international design scene took place in Paris: Maison & Object .
Maison & Object is the trade fair in France for furnishings and decoration , and this year has reached its 20th edition, emphasizing the event with a fun and celebratory claim, 'Birthday cakes meet birthday'.
During the editions Maison&Object has become an increasingly global event and witness were the 3000 brand present, more than half foreign, and 80,000 visitors from around the world.
This appointment in January is only the first of four that the organization prepare during the year: in fact there are the second edition of Maison & Objet Asia in Singapore (10-13 March), the first edition of Maison & Objet Americas in Miami Beach ( May 12 to 15) and another Paris edition in September (from 4 to 8).
During each edition, Maison & Objet gives the award for Designer of the Year, but from this year, the awards are four, choosing a designer for each of the events planned: in Paris was awarded the Japanese Oki Sato, in March in Singapore will be rewarded architects Asian Lyndon Blacks and Rosanna Hu, in Miami in May, the Brazilian Zanini de Zanine, while in September again in Paris the designer Dorothée Meilichzon.
Also important is the Italian presence at Maison & Object with over 350 brands including Alessi, Atypical, Missoni Home, Fendi Casa, Etro Home, Porada, Gufram, Kristalia, Antoniolupi, Gervasoni and Pedrali.
