Tribute to Milano

 

What is the city star of 2015? Of course the city headquarters of Milan and Expo
Mad about Design today dedicates a post to the symbol of Milan, became a cuckoo clock for Diamantini & Domeniconi.
  Duomo is a wall clock created in 2012 by Italian designer Luca Trazzi, which reproduces the famous cathedral of Milan with its many spiers from which emerges a bird.
Duomo is a modern reinterpretation of the classic and current cuckoo clock and is available in three colors: white, red and black.
In addition to Duomo clock, Diamantini & Domeniconi also proposed Mole cuckoo that you can find in this previous post.

L'orologio che si crede un catino

 

Hello design lovers! Are you wondering what makes a bucket hanging on the wall ?! The protagonist of today's post is Catino, created by designer Lorenzo Damiani for Diamantini & Domeniconi, a wall clock with the original shape reminiscent definitely a basin.
Catino is made of colored plastic material and inside the very deep concavity contains the black hands of the clock.
An object amusing and ironic that combines two elements to create an unique element with an original creativity.

The symbol of Turin becames a cuckoo clock

Happy Monday my dear design lovers! Have you spent a nice weekend ? The first post of the week has as protagonist a cuckoo clock from the very unusual shape , the cuckoo " Una Mole di Cucù " by the Italian designer Andrea Seano for Diamantini & Domeniconi , manufacturer of designer clocks.This wall clock is a tribute to the symbol of the city of Turin , the Mole Antonelliana, a building located in the historical center of Turin and built by the architect Alessandro Antonelli , now the National Museum of Cinema.
As you know, I live near Turin and I love this city, so I thought to dedicate a post to an object that honors it.
The cuckoo Mole, built in lacquered metal plate laser cut , is characterized by simple and basic lines and is available in white, red, black, rust and stainless steel mirror ." Una Mole di Cucù " will not disturb our dreams because it is equipped with a night light sensor, so the cuckoo desn't come out at night or when there is no light .Good week my dear design lovers!

Il primo post della settimana ha come protagonista un orologio a cucù dalla forma molto insolita, il cucù "Una Mole di Cucù" del designer italiano Andrea Seano per Diamantini&Domeniconi, azienda produttrice di orologi di design.

Wake up!

Monday arrives and even if we would like to remain still midday in the bed hugging our pillow, we have to stand up and go to work. A new week starts! Fortunatately our hated/loved alarm clock remembers us that the weekend finished, otherwise I would remain fall asleep every day! How is your alarm clock? There are so different types: digital, vintage, high tech... The alarm clock I decide to show you today is New Machine and it is projected by Enrico Azzimonti for the 2014 new collection of Diamantini and Domeniconi. You can find it in many colours: blue, green, orange, brown, red. It's nice and cute shape remember an alarm clock of 40es and it's suit very well in a bedroom with a minimal and modern style but also vintage or industrial chich one. Don't you think is very nice with this sun as decoration of the quadrant? So, my dear followers it's time to start this day, have a good Monday!
